Germany, NSDAP. A Long Service Decoration, II Class for 15 Years

(Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP, II. Klasse für 15 Jahre). Instituted 2 April 1939. (1939-1945 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a ribbed frame and blue enameled arms, the quadrants joined by radiant silvered sun rays, the obverse bearing a central blue enameled disc overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika within a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse bearing a central blue enameled disc overlaid by a silvered inscription of “TREUE FÜR FÜHRER UND VOLK” (“LOYALTY FOR FÜHRER AND PEOPLE”), within a circular oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 42.17 mm (w) x 45.62 mm (h), weighing 38.7 grams, chipping and scratching is evident to the enamel of most arms and there is minor loss of silver finish evident,in very fine condition.
