A Land Custom Official Dagger by Hörster

Land Custom Official Dagger by Hörster; measuring 411 mm with the scabbard on, this dagger features a sharpened (semi-sharp) nickel-plated magnetic steel blade, with a sharp tip. The blade’s reverse ricasso is maker marked “E & F Hörst, Solingen” with the company’s insignia. The blade is diamond shaped with flattened top and bottom and exhibits scratches common to extraction and return to the scabbard on both sides of the blade, along with scratches from sharpening the blade. The thin black leather blade washer remains fully intact and attached to the dagger. The dark green wooden grip shows no fading from age, and is overall very well preserved without cracks and only some contact marks and light signs of wear, decorated with then rows of tightly wrapped bullion wire. The crossguard is nickel plated over aluminum, with light pitting. Scabbard is straight with steel (magnetic) fittings, with dark green leather covering. Overall better than very fine condition.
