(Ordin "Steaua Romaniei"). Instituted in 1877. Type II (1932-1947). In silvered bronze with red, green and blue enamels, gilt cypher of Carol I on the obverse centrepiece, measuring 40.8 mm (w) x 63 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, intact enamels, the reverse centrepiece sits slightly askew, on a 1932-1938 original ribbon with hook and eye, near extremely fine.

 

Footnote: The Order of the Star of Romania is Romania's highest civil Order and second highest State decoration after the defunct Order of Michael the Brave. It was originally awarded in six grades: Grand Cross with Collar, Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
