Fabricated from a khaki cotton with fold down flaps on either side, two rising peaks forming a shallow valley between the two panels, each of the side panels designed with a slight forward slope and a radical slope at the rear, the front bearing a 30 mm (w) x 31.7 mm (h) NCO's cap badge in bronze with red enamels. The interior is lined in a black rayon-cotton blend, with a 38 mm wide sweatband with a black synthetic upper and a dark brown cotton underside stitched in place, stamped in white ink on the left side with a Red Army Uniform Depot in Moscow mark and size stamped "54", along with a rectangular box below inscribed "OTNEE25 / 100RT" (English translation from the Russian). The cap measures 270 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), exhibiting spotting, soiling and wear throughout from active use. As worn.
