A pair of Civil Service Long Service Awards, including one for 25 years, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, joined through the quadrants by an oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a black swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 40.88 mm (w) x 45.71 mm (h), weighing 21.5 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of two pieces of card stock with a faux red leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a silver embossed number “25” within a cogwheel, the interior with a red felt lid liner and medal bed, the exterior bearing a handwritten owner’s dedication, measuring 50 mm (w) x 102 mm (l) x 16 mm (h), with material fatigue evident to the case, in overall better than very fine condition, and; a 40 year award, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, joined through the quadrants by an oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a black swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 41.35 mm (w) x 46.16 mm (h), weighing 21.5 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a heavy card stock frame with a faux red leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt number “40” within an oak leaf wreath, the interior with a padded white rayon lid liner and slotted maroon velvet medal bed, opening with a metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 50 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), with material fatigue evident to the case in addition to the non-functioning lock, in overall near extremely fine condition.
