Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR BESONDERE LEISTUNGEN IN DER TIERZUCHT” (“FOR EXCEPTIONAL MERIT IN ANIMAL BREEDING”), circumscribed by an inscription of “DER REICHSMINISTER FÜR ERNÄHRUNG UND LANDWIRTSCHAFT” (“THE REICH MINISTER FOR FOOD AND AGRICULTURE”), unmarked, measuring 50 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a light wooden frame with a faux maroon leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt embossed German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the interior with a padded with rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed maroon velvet medal bed, opening with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, the bottom maker marked “PREUSS. STAATSMÜNZE, BERLIN” for the Prussian Mint in Berlin, measuring 80 mm (w) x 80 mm (l) x 26 mm (h), with minor oxidation evident to the medal, in overall near extremely fine condition.
