Germany, SS. An SS Sports Sweater

(SS Sportanzug). A well-preserved SS sports sweater, constructed of a dark navy blue cotton twill. It features a high turned-down collar transitioning into a functional non-magnetic metal zipper of approximately one-third length. The zipper is flanked on the left by a classic SS sports shirt insignia consisting of a black cotton backer bearing a white cotton disc overlaid by machine-embroidered black double Sig runes, measuring 95 mm in overall diameter. Both the waistband and sleeve cuffs featuring elasticized bands for a flush fit during use. Unmarked, the sweater measures approximately 500 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 460 mm, and an overall body length of 480 mm. Minor material fatigue consistent with age and use are evident, but the sweater is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
