(Ehrenmedaille in Silber mit Spange “1914/15”). Instituted 9 June 1857 by Prince Friedrich Günther. (1857-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from a triple oak leaf clasp bearing dates “1914-1915” with a reverse integral loop, the obverse of the medal bearing a raised Schwarzburg lion rampant, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR TREUE UND VERDIENSTE” (“FOR LOYALTY AND SERVICE”), the reverse bearing the raised monogram of Prince Friedrich Günther, unmarked, the medal measuring 31.79 mm in diameter, the clasp measuring 22.58 mm (w) x 21.95 mm (h), weighing 18.1 grams overall, in extremely fine condition.
