Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, around a white enameled disc bearing an inscription of “GAUSIEGER 1939” (“REGIONAL VICTOR 1939”), overload by a silvered German national eagle clutching a cogwheel, in turn bearing an enameled HJ insignia, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and flattened vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, the reverse maker marked “G. BREHMER, MARKNEUKIRCHEN”, measuring 49.15 mm (w) x 47.17 mm (h), weighing 28.0 grams, with only minor flecking evident to the enamel, in extremely fine condition.
