Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised leftward-facing profile of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscription of “FÜR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR” (“FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER”), unmarked, measuring 25.00 mm in diameter, weighing 8.3 grams, in extremely fine condition.
