(Currency, Coins). A circular coin constructed of 21kt yellow gold. The obverse features the bust of Liberty encompassed by a border of stars and below bears the inscription “1836”. The reverse bears an eagle with outstretched wings with a shield on its chest, and a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons, encompassed by the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 5 D.”. The edge of the coin is reeded. The coin is unmarked. Measuring 22.45mm (in diameter) and weighing 8.3 grams. This coin has been graded AU50 by ICCS (International Coin Certification Service).
