(Silver). Antique. A silver oyster fork constructed of silver. The obverse presenting with a highly stylized handle connecting to a three-pronged fork, with the outermost prong flattened and sharpened, the handle bearing an engraved monogram of King Ernst August of Hanover. The reverse features similarly intricate designs, maker marked “HOSSAUER” for the firm of Johann George Hossauer. Measuring 20 mm (w) x 155 mm (l) and weighing 32.1 grams.
