Finland, Republic. Two Travelling Badges with Fobs

1. Rovaniemi Petsamo Salla Travelling Badge with Fob (the face plate with a two-piece construction, insignia in bronze with blue and white enamels, illustrating a left-facing reindeer with a map of Finland above, surrounded by the inscription "ROVANIEMI / SALLA-PETSAMO", the insignia mounted to a bone cross-shaped base, measuring 31 mm (w) x 33 mm (h), attached to two bone panels via single links, one square and one triangular, suspended from a chain finished with a loop and measuring 105 mm in length overall, fine chipping evident in the blue enamels on the insignia).

2. Finnish Lion Coat-of-Arms Fob (the face plate with a two-piece construction, insignia in bronze with red enamels, illustrating the crowned lion Finnish coat-of-arms, mounted to a silvered bronze cross base, measuring 27.3 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), attached to two hexagon-shaped silvered bronze panels via multiple links, suspended from a multi-link chain with ring, measuring 90 mm in length overall). Together, very fine.

Footnote: German and Finnish troop movements from one place to another by either car, truck, skis, horse and cart etc. were commemorated on these enamelled insignias. They were issued and purchased on a little fob chain in cafes and other mess halls etc. throughout Finland.
