Germany, HJ. A Rare 1938 Hamburg Reichskampf Participant’s Badge

(Reichskampf Hamburg Abzeichen). Constructed of a bronzed aluminum alloy with multi-coloured enamels, vertical pinback, the obverse consisting of a circular ring bearing a raised inscription of “REICHS-KAMPF HAMBURG”, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a cogwheel, in turn bearing an enameled HJ insignia, flanked by a date of “1938”, topped by a detailed depiction of turreted castle gate through which a ship is passing, unmarked, measuring 39 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), with minor loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
