(Palgoe jung). Instituted in 1901. In frosted silver with red, white and blue enamels, obverse centrepiece design of two short bars flanked by long bars top and bottom indicating that it is a III Class award, reverse with kanji inscription, marked "ZZ" on the integral ring, measuring 56.5 mm (w) x 63.5 mm (h) inclusive if its integral ring, loop in Gold, intact enamels, contact marks, minor dent on the edge of the frame of the arm at 10 o'clock, on a shortened original neck ribbon, better than very fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Eight Trigrams was established on April 16, 1901. The symbolism used is the Chinese Ba Gua, based on Taoist principles.
