Order of the Star of the Romanian People's Republic, II Class in solid 14Kt. Gold (unmarked, but tested), the coat-of-arms in Gold and centered on a red enamelled centrepiece, surrounded by twenty-two embedded natural white Sapphires, weighing 64.4 grams, measuring 59.5 mm x 62.5 mm, horizontal pinback, unmarked, but of typical manufacturing characteristic of Romanian State mint; accompanied by is 24.5 mm x 10 mm ribbon bar, in its hardshell case of issue, marked "Ordinul "STEAUA REPUBLICII POPULARE ROMINE" CL. II" on the lid, recessed medal bed and ribbon bar bed, better than extremely fine.

Accompanied by a booklet from the personal effects and estate of Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej. The booklet, issued in Bucharest, assigns Gheorghiu-Dej with the membership of number 1 for the General Labour Confederation. Stating his trade as an Electrician, with a black and white photo, measuring 8 cm x 11.5 cm, fine.
