Croatia, Independent State. An Ante Pavelić Bravery Medal, Silver Grade Medal, c.1941

(Kolajna Ante Pavelić za junaštvo). Instituted in 1941. In silver, measuring 35.3 mm in diameter, a series of nicks evident on Pavelić's cheek and neck, on its original triangular ribbon with hook and eye, very fine. Accompanied by a Photograph of Twelve Members of the Home Guard in a Wooded Setting (in black and white, matte finish, stamped in ink "VII - 68" and inscribed "Domobrani na Položaju" (Home Guards at the Position) in pencil on the reverse, measuring 175 mm (w) x 125 mm (h), paper residue on the reverse from previous album mounting, near extremely fine).
