Constructed of silvered zink with brass, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, measuring 42.96 mm (w) x 53.05 mm (h), weighing 38.5 grams, with most of the silver finish lost, in near extremely fine condition.
