(Artillerie-Regiment Bierkrug). Constructed of glazed off-white earthenware, the exterior bearing a hand-painted and finely-detailed depiction of an artillery crew manning a howitzer during a field exercise, set within a laurel and oak leaf border and flanked by shield bearing a Wehrmacht tri-colour and coat of arms of the city of Nuremberg, circumscribed by inscriptions of “UNTERSTAB II./ART.RGT.NBG.” and “WEIHNACHTEN 1934” (“CHRISTMAS 1934”), featuring a curved and protruding handle, flanked by an engraved measurement of “10/20 L.”, the base bearing illegible marks, measuring 95 mm (w) x 125 mm (h). Free of evident chips or cracks, the handle displays grooves where a lid hinge was formerly secured in place. The stein is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
