(Luftschutzpolizei Dienstrock). A well-preserved Air Raid Protection Police (Luftschutzpolizei) service tunic, constructed of dark grey-blue wool. It features an integrated collar with fold-back lapels, while each shoulder bears an integrated strap and magnetic metal button for the accommodation of shoulder boards. Stitched onto the upper left arm is an insignia consisting of a dark grey wool backer bearing a machine-embroidered green oval oak leaf wreath, in turn German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika. The eagle insignia measures 90 mm (w) x 80 mm (h). Above the cuff of the same sleeve, the tunic bears a title constructed of a green-dyed cotton-blended band with an inscription of “LUFTSCHUTZPOLIZEI BÖHMEN-MÄHREN” (“AIR RAID PROTECTION POLICE BOHEMIA-MORAVIA”). The tunic closes with dual arrangements of four magnetic metal buttons on each breast flap meeting equal numbers of reinforced buttonholes on the opposite flap, with both flaps also featuring a single pocket opening with a horizontal flap. A black rayon liner fully encompasses the interior, and transitions into a pinstripe design through the arms. A large pocket is set into each breast flap, both opening with reinforced horizontal slits, with an additional small pocket just above the upper right flap. The tunic is fully unmarked and measures approximately 450 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 585 mm and an overall body length of 760 mm. While well-preserved, the tunic demonstrates some issues consistent with age, including the loss of both collar and shoulder insignia (with small holes where collar tab insignia were formerly set), the loosening of some buttons, and minor material fatigue. It is in an overall very fine condition.
