(Jewellery, Brooches). Vintage. Ladies. A vintage bar brooch constructed of platinum, diamonds and sapphires. The brooch is set with 10 square cut natural sapphires gauging approximately 4.10 x 4.00 x 2.20mm, total approximate weight 3.30ct., of medium tone, strong to vivid intensity, blue colour hue, slightly included,very good cut; and eight old European cut natural diamonds gauging approximately 3.80mm to 3.60mm, total approximate weight 1.60ct., VVS-VS clarity, G-H colour, medium cut. The sapphires and diamonds are arranged in an alternating pattern. The sides of the brooch are engraved with an acanthus design. The reverse bears a pin with a covered catch and safety clasp. The pin is marked “B B & B” and “39474”. Measuring 5.19mm (w) x 72.20mm (l) and weighing 12.2 grams. An eye catching brooch, in extremely fine condition.
