Jewellery. A Mid-Victorian Yellow Gold, Onyx & Seed Pearl Pendant Brooch, c.1875

(Jewellery, Brooches). Victorian. Ladies. A horizontally elongated pendant brooch crafted in black onyx. The obverse center of the brooch features a 14kt yellow gold plate with thirty seed pearls in shared prong and bezel settings. Four of the pearls are arranged in the center in the shape of a flower. The reverse features a 14kt yellow gold plate with a horizontal pin and C-catch. The reverse also features a loop on a hinge, for suspension from a chain. The pin is marked “14K”. Measuring 75.70mm (l) x 17.20mm (h) andweighing 25 grams. In extremely fine condition.
