(Silver). Antique. A slotted serving utensil constructed of silver. The obverse bears the image of a cut-out fish with various lines and a vine with leaves across the top. The handle of the spoon bears a Gothic letter “D”. The reverse of the spoon is marked with a bust within an oval, a lion passant and “GS&S” within a rectangle to indicate the silversmith firm George Savage & Son, Montreal. Measuring 300mm and weighing 175.4 grams. A functional and decorative serving utensil, lovely patina, in very fine condition.
