Орден Октябрьской Революции. Instituted in 1967. Three-piece construction, in silver with red enamels, Gold hammer and sickle insignia, Monetny Dvor mint marked and number engraved "25338" on the reverse, measuring 43.2 mm (w) x 43.7 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, intact enamels, dark patina, original ribbon, mounted to a five-sided aluminum suspension with pinback, extremely fine. Accompanied by an Award Booklet (named to the recipient, dated April 26, 1971, numbered "409664", one stamp, conforming his award of the Order of the October Revolution, measuring 73 mm (w) x 106 mm (h)).
Footnote: The Order of the October Revolution was instituted on October 31, 1967, in time for the fiftieth anniversary of the October Revolution. It was conferred upon individuals or groups for services furthering communism or the state, or in enhancing the defenses of the Soviet Union, military and civil. It is the second highest Soviet order, after the Order of Lenin.
