(Currency, Coins). Antique. A circular coin constructed of 21kt gold. The obverse features the bust of King George, encompassed by the inscription “GEORGIVS V DEI GRA REX ET IND IMP”. The bust is marked at the shoulder “B.M” for the obverse designer E. B. MacKennal. The reverse bears the Canadian coat of arms encompassed by a maple leaf wreath, above the wreath is the inscription “CANADA”, and the date “1913” and denomination “FIVE DOLLARS” are below the wreath. The edge of the coin is reeded. Measuring 21.71mm (diameter) and weighing 8.3 grams. Exhibiting a lovely lustre, M62.
