(Currency, Coins). Antique. A circular coin constructed of 21kt yellow gold. The obverse bears the portrait of Liberty encompassed by small stars and below bears the date “1901”. The reverse bears an eagle with outstretched wings with a shield on its breast. It clutches a bundle of arrows and an olive branch. Above the eagle is a scrolling banner with the inscription “IN GOD WE TRUST”. The image is encompassed by the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TEN D.” The coin is unmarked which means it was minted in Philadelphia. The edge of the coin is reeded. Measuring 26.93mm (diameter) and weighing 16.7 grams. This coin has been graded AU55 by ICCS (International Coin Certification Service).
