It begins with a Table of Contents, followed by an Acknowledgements, a Foreword by Frederick Wilkinson, a Dedication and an Introduction. The book contains 496 pages of detailed text and multiple photographs, the majority of pages printed in black ink, with twelve color plates featuring sword knots on pages 322-323, 325-326, 328-329, 344-349, on a coated white paper stock, measuring 158 mm (w) x 235 mm (h) x 30 mm (d). It exhibits scuffing and wear on the exterior covers, along with separation evident where the inside cover joins the endpaper causing a slight weakness at the spine, however, the pages within remain pristine. A terrific reference book for collectors and historians alike. Very fine.

Footnote: John Angolia graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1959 with a BA in History. He was commissioned into the Regular Army where he was qualified Airborne, Ranger and Special Forces. The first of many references were produced in 1969. While in the service, he earned two Master Degrees. His expertise extends to the Warsaw Pact and the Middle East. After retiring, he devoted his time to further research and writing, along with being the author of numerous books on various aspects of the Third Reich.
