Softcover, entitled "The Canadian Army 1855-1958: Regimental Histories and a Guide to the Regiments", compiled by Charles Emil Dornbusch, published by Hope Farm Press of Cornwallville, New York in 1959. A brief description of the book's contents is stated in the Preface: "The modern Canadian Army dates from 1855, when twenty-two companies were formed under the first Volunteer Act passed by the Parliament of Canada. With this year as the starting point, the Guide outlines the histories of the Canadian Regiments in the dates of organization, change of designation, amalgamation, disbanding and conversion. The authority for the Guide is the file of Militia Orders, later Army Orders. The arrangement of the Guide is alphabetical by the name of the Regiment. Better than very fine.
