It begins with an Introduction by Alan Wykes. The book illustrates medals, badges, cap badges, uniforms, caps, helmets, daggers, lanyards, tinnies, armbands, flags, belt buckles, posters, and much more. It concludes with an List of Equivalent Ranks in Party and MIlitary Organisations and a Glossary.

Each book contains 160 pages of text, accompanied by multiple line drawings and photographs, printed in four-colour inks, on a semi-coated white paper stock, perfect bound, measuring 135 mm (w) x 210 mm (h) x 8.5 mm (d). Both books exhibit wear on their covers from active use, however, the pages themselves remain unaffected. Together, very fine.
