Germany, Third Reich. A 1938 Commemorative Anschluss Plaque

(Anschluss Österreichs Erinnerungsplakette). Constructed of patinated bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and highly-detailed leftward-facing profile of AH, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN EWIGER TRAUM DER DEUTSCHEN MENSCHEN WURDE VERWIRKLICHT” (“AN ETERNAL DREAM OF THE GERMAN PEOPLE BECAME A REALITY”), with a date of “13. MAERZ 1938”, the reverse hollow and with an integral suspension loop, unmarked, measuring 235 mm in diameter, with minor signs of oxidation evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
