Germany, Luftwaffe. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Dr. Franke & Co.

(Luftwaffe Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of grey-painted magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika on a pebbled background, set within an oval laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, maker marked “DR. F & CO.” for Dr. Franke & Co., Lüdenscheid, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with some loss of finish, in better than very fine condition.
