Germany, Heer. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Dr. Franke & Co.

(Heer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, within a ribbed wreathed bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the reverse maker marked with the logo of Dr. Franke & Co., Lüdenscheid, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with some loss of finish evident, in very fine condition.
