Germany, Heer. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Noelle & Hueck

(Heer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of grey-painted magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and dual attachment claws, connecting to a period original leather strap bearing an illegible maker’s mark, the buckle maker marked with the logo of Noelle & Hueck, Lüdenscheid, and with a manufacture date of “1942”, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with minor loss of paint evident, in near extremely fine condition.
