Germany, Heer. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Christian Theodor Dicke

(Heer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of grey-painted magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, maker marked with the logo of Christian Theodor Dicke, Lüdenscheid, and a manufacture date of “1943”, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with oxidation and loss of finish evident, in very fine condition.
