Germany, Heer. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Dransfeld & Co.

(Heer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, within a ribbed wreath bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the latter retaining a period original brown leather strap, both the buckle and strap maker marked with the logo of Dransfeld & Co., Menden, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with some loss of finish evident, in very fine condition.
