Born on 9 December 106 in Flensburg, Weckmann served with the 22nd SS Volunteer Cavalry Division Maria Theresia. His last known whereabouts were in Budapest in December 1944. The request for information was filed by his wife, then a resident of the city of Bochum. It features a black-and-white photo of Weckmann in the uniform of a Sturmführer.
