(Österreichisch-kaiserlicher Leopold-Orden). Instituted on 8 January 1808 by Franz I of Austria. Post-1945 Copy. A silver eight-armed multi-faceted star with a central applique consisting of a cross pattée constructed of gilded bronze with red-enamelled arms bordered by white enamel, with gilded laurel leaves between the cross arms, the obverse centre presents a red-enamelled medallion inscribed FIA for FRANCISCUS IMPERATOR AUSTRIAE, surrounded by a ring of white enamel inscribed INTEGRITATI ET MERITO (FOR INTEGRITY AND MERIT), reverse centre presenting a principle pin assembly, maker marked on pin with C.F. ROTHE WIEN, measuring 79.17 mm (w) x 79.13 mm (h), weighing 78.5 grams, and in better than very fine condition.
