Germany, Imperial. A Mint First War Prussian Observer’s Badge

(Beobachterabzeichen). In die stamped silver-plated bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse with an enameled square insignia consisting of white, black, and red enamels mounted to the center of the obverse via two hooks on the reverse, the square insignia placed within a bed of sun rays and an oval wreath consisting of oak and laurel leaves, tied together at the bottom with a bow, topped by a German State Crown, the reverse plain, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 45.59 mm (w) x 70.42 mm (h), weighing 16.9 grams, in near mint condition.
