1914-15 Star (J.29188 J. BAILEY, BOY 1, R.N.); British War Medal (J.29188 J. BAILEY. A.B. R.N.); and Victory Medal (J.29188 J. BAILEY. A.B. R.N.). Naming is officially impressed. Mounted to a brass suspension bar without pinback, bruising and edge nicks on the BWM and VM, all three with surface wear and contact marks overall, replacement ribbons, fine.

 

Footnote: John Bailey was born on January 22, 1898 in Redruth, Cornwall. He enlisted with the Royal Navy as a Boy Seaman First Class (J.29188) on January 22, 1916, at the age of 18, later achieving the rank of Able Seaman.
