Germany, Waffen-SS. A Set of Major General Shoulder Boards

A pair of shoulder boards for a Waffen-SS Brigadeführer und Generalmajor der Waffen-SS (Waffen-SS Brigadier Leader and Major General of the Waffen-SS); constructed of silver wire embroidery around a fabric core sandwiched between two golden-wire embroidery around a fabric core; superimposed on grey wool with a cardstock core; with a skinny tongue underneath the boards with button loop for uniform attachment; boards are textbook examples of very good quality, late war period issue; considerable mothing evident on the underside, but otherwise unissued condition.
