Germany, DAF. A German Labour Front Plaque, by Ferdinand Wagner

(Deutsche Arbeitsfront Plakette). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse depicting three raised figures representing various German industries, standing on a pedestal overlaid by a DAF insignia, above a raised inscription of “EHRET DIE ARBEIT UND ACHTET DEN ARBEITER” (“HONOUR THE WORK AND RESPECT THE WORKER”), with a dedication from AH, the bottom left bearing a maker’s mark of “FERDINAND WAGNER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 100 mm (w) x 150 mm (h), the reverse demonstrates the remnants of an adhesive indicating removal from a base, in overall better than very fine condition.
