(Gedenkmedaillen). A grouping of four medals, including a War Commemorative Medal of 1870/71 for Non-Combatants, constructed of steel, the obverse shows the crowned royal cypher of Wilhelm I over the inscription Für Pflichttreue im Kriege (For devotion to duty in the war), inscribed around the edge is Gott war mit uns, Ihm sei die Ehre (God was with us, to Him be the Glory), the reverse shows an Iron Cross with rays extending from between the arms, at the centre of the cross is an oak leaf wreath and the dates 1870 1871, measuring 29.12 mm in diameter, and in good condition. A 1914/1918 Kyffhäuser Commemorative Medal with Swords, in gilt bronze, the obverse inscribed BLANK DIE WEHR, REIN DIE EHR (TO ARMS WITH AN HONOUR INTACT), the reverse dedicates this award to the fighters of the first war, maker marked HOSAEUS, measuring 30.95 mm (w) x 46.90 mm (h), on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in near extremely fine condition. A Friedrich-August Medal, constructed of bronze, the obverse presents the intertwined and crowned letters FAR (Friedrich August Rex), enclosed by an open-topped laurel wreath tied together below, the reverse presents the two-line inscription Friedrich August-Medaille, decorated above and below with ornamentation, measuring 28.52 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in very fine condition. A Cross of Honour of the Prussian Landes-Kriegerverband, II Class, constructed of silver-plated bronze, a cross pattée, with ornate letters P L K V between the arms, the centre obverse presents the five-line inscription FÜR VERDIENST IM KRIEGERVEREINS WESEN, the reverse centre presents the Kyffhäuser monument with rays in the background, maker marked on loop with H. TIMM BERLIN, measuring 44.89 mm 50.50, and in good condition.
