Germany, Luftwaffe. A 1944 Eastern Front Trench Art Cigarette Case

(Zigarettenetui). Constructed of bronze, of multi-piece composition, the lid bearing an etched Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “RUSSLAND DOKUDOVA, 1944”, one side bearing an etched fish, opening with a functional hinge to reveal a plain interior, unmarked, measuring 82 mm (w) x 92 mm (l) x 24 mm (h), one side of the hinge has broken, in overall better than very fine condition.
