Germany, HJ. A Rare Decoration of the High Command of the HJ for Distinguished Foreigners

(Ehrenzeichen der Reichsjugendführung der HJ für verdiente Ausländer). Constructed of partially silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an oval ring surrounding a white enameled disc, overlaid by a silvered German national eagle clutching two oak leaves, with the centre bearing an enameled HJ insignia, the reverse with three visible rivets securing the obverse applique in place, with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 32.20 mm (w) x 33.70 mm (h), weighing 13.6 grams, significant chipping is evident throughout the enamels and the pinback has been bent, a scarce badge in poor condition.
