A pair of social welfare decorations, including a Social Welfare Medal, IV Class, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Geneva Cross overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “MEDAILLE FÜR DEUTSCHE VOLKSPFLEGE” (“MEDAL FOR CARE OF THE GERMAN PEOPLE”) in Fraktur script, unmarked, measuring 38.10 mm in diameter, weighing 25.7 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in better than very fine condition, and; a German Red Cross (DRK) Senior Assistance Badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular stylized wreath, with a central red enameled Geneva Cross on a white enameled disc, circumscribed by an inscription of “DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ SCHWESTERNSCHAFT” (“GERMAN RED CROSS SISTERHOOD”), the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 35.12 mm in diameter, weighing 14.0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
