Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised central bell overlaid by a German national eagle clutching Olympic rings, circumscribed by an inscription of “XI OLYMPIADE BERLIN 1936”, the reverse bearing raised Olympic rings from which sun rays emanate, topped by an inscription of “RAD-STERN-FAHRT”, the reverse designer marked “PLACZEK” for the firm of Otto Placzek, Berlin, measuring 70 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a light wooden frame with a green canvas exterior liner, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed black velvet medal bed, opening with a metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 98 mm (w) x 95 mm (l) x 35 mm (h), minor scratching is evident to the medal and the case catch is non-functional, in overall very fine condition.
