A circular medal constructed of bronze, the obverse bears the image of a crowned eagle in flight clutching a sword in its talons, with a solid raised border, the obverse bears the inscription “KOENIGL PREUSS. POLICEI BEAMTER” (KOENIGL PRUSSIAN POLICE OFFICER), measuring 42.75 mm (w) x 50.16 mm (h), with suspension loop.
