A field cap constructed of dark-grey wool, with fold-down panels with squared scallops to the front and forward sides, covering the entire neck on the sides and rear when unbuttoned, the panels are raised with their ends resting upon the visor, joined together by a black buckle, the front centre of the cap features a HJ badge in multi-coloured enamels, the reverse of which bears the RZM logo and number M1/158 for Karl Pichl, Innsburck, the cap has an extended-forward, wool covered visor with an internal cardboard stiffener, the interior of the cap is fully lined in black-coloured rayon, unmarked, measuring approximately 18 cm (w) x 26 cm (l) x 11 cm (h), and in near extremely fine condition.
