(Ceskoslovenský vojenský rád Bilého lva "Za vítezství"). Instituted on February 9, 1945. World War II Issued. An exceptional multi-rayed eight-pointed star in silver, obverse medallion featuring a superimposed central silver heraldic lion, on an enameled red background, surrounded by an enameled blue border inscribed "Za vítezství" (For Victory), along with two crossed swords also in silver, reverse with principal pin assembly, marked by Czechoslovakian hallmark denoting .900 silver purity, along with maker’s mark "KK" (for KARNET & KYSELY, Praga), measuring 53.98 mm (w) x 54.43 mm (h), toned silver, minor discoloration in blue enamel, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Czechoslovakian Military Order of the White Lion "for Victory'' was established on February 9, 1945. It was awarded to Czechoslovakian citizens and foreigners for extraordinary military merits either personal acts of bravery or leadership serving the country. The orders could have been awarded as well to units.
