Bavaria, Kingdom. A Pilot’s Badge Stick Pin, by Carl Poellath

(Flugzeugführerabzeichen Anstecknadel). Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Bavarian royal crown, around a central depiction of a monoplane flying over a rural landscape, the reverse marked with a silver content number of “800” and initials “C.P.” for Carl Poellath, Schrobenhausen, measuring 11.43 mm (w) x 17.51 mm (h), weighing 2.3 grams, in extremely fine condition.
